Who I am. Summer Nights Art is a small jewellery shop. I make every piece by hand, one at a time.

⚠ Metal sensitivity and allergies. Jewellery is worn against skin, and some people react to some metals — nickel especially, but also silver, copper and brass. If you have a known sensitivity, ask me what a piece is made of before you buy. I will tell you everything I know about it. I cannot be responsible for a reaction to a material you did not ask about.

⚠ Small parts. Not a toy. Clasps, beads and findings are small and can come loose. Keep jewellery away from children under three and from pets. These pieces are not made or tested as children's products.

Materials, described as honestly as I can. I say exactly what I believe a piece is made of. I buy my components from suppliers and I can only pass on what they tell me — if a supplier is wrong, I can be wrong too, and I will correct it the moment I know. I will never knowingly describe a piece as something it is not.

I make every piece by hand. I assemble every piece myself. Nothing in this shop is bought finished and resold as mine.

Every piece is one of a kind. Stones and materials vary, so what arrives will be the piece in the photograph but not a pixel-perfect match to your screen. Colours look different on different screens. If a piece is made-to-order, yours will be made in the same way as the one photographed and will be its own thing.

Wear and care. Jewellery made by hand is not industrial. Take it off for showering, swimming, sleeping, cleaning and sport. Silver and copper tarnish — that is the metal behaving normally, not a fault. Damage from ordinary wear, accident, or misuse is not something I can replace, because there is only ever one of each piece.

What I am responsible for. Getting you the piece described, made well, and posting it promptly. If it arrives damaged or is not what I described, tell me and I will make it right.

What I am not responsible for. What happens after a piece is yours — how it is worn, stored, altered, or given away, and anything that follows from that.

Delivery. Once a parcel is with the carrier, it is in their hands. I will always give you the tracking. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, tell me and I will help you chase it — I cannot control the post, but I will not leave you alone with it.

Your address. I post to the address you give me. Please check it before you pay — if it is wrong and the parcel is gone, I cannot replace a piece that only existed once.

Prices and availability. Prices can change, and because each piece is unique, once it sells it is gone. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

Photographs are mine. Please do not use the shop's photographs elsewhere without asking.

Buying. You need to be old enough to use a payment card where you live.

Commissions. Commissioned work is agreed by email before anything begins. Because it is made for you specifically, a commission cannot be cancelled once I have started, and deposits are not refundable. Anything else is whatever we agree in writing.

Where this applies. Summer Nights Art operates from North Carolina, USA, and these terms are governed by North Carolina law.

Questions? Email me. I would much rather talk than have you unhappy.
